VECCHIE TERRE DI MONTEFILI
TUSCANY
A PHOENIX RISING IN CHIANTI CLASSICO
Vecchie Terre di Montefili is a lovely 12.5 hectare estate located high in the hills between Panzano and Greve in the heart of Chianti Classico. Grapes have been grown for winemaking for at least 750 years on hills within the farm’s current boundary. For many of those years the monks of the nearby Badia a Passignano tended the vines. In 1975 Roccaldo Acuti purchased the land and transformed the property into a potent force in the revival of Chianti Classico as an appellation famous for outstanding wines.

In 2015, Vecchie Terre di Montefili passed hands to new ownership with ambitious plans to preserve the sanctity of this land, while projecting it into the future as a phoenix rising in the Chianti Classico zone. Now with the talents of a young, pioneering winemaker: Serena Gusmeri - her first vintage in 2015 receiving worldwide critical acclaim - something special has begun to take root.
